AFA Systems

AFA Systems srl, established in 1991, is a recognised player in the ICT Italian scenario.

Applied research agreements (joint development) with several manufacturers of vertical sub-systems are the company distinguishing sign of a tidy and rigorous industrial approach.

AFA Systems operates according to the ISO 9001:2000 standards, fully respecting the international regulations and environmental recommendations, utilising the most advanced instrumentations. Our highly educated technical staff is the main company asset and the stable basis of our reputation and continuous growth.

The company operates in two business units, coordinated and completing.

The first one – AFA Engineering – deals with:

  • design and deployment of IP geographical WAN, wireless WAN, “last mile” solutions and data centres
  • software development of vertical applications.

The second b.u. - AFA Industrial – deals with manufacturing of the MajorNet®, a robust and affordable platform for IP security, unified messaging and VoIP, distributed through local or specialised “certified dealers”.

AFA Engineering

The business unit AFA Engineering operates in the IP networks sector, through partners on the Italian territory, for the design of large scale wireless and geographical networks, also using complementary technologies (satellite links, fibre optic cabling, etc). A long list of references proves scope and dimension of our projects: complex multilayer systems, multi sites geographical network, extensive VPN IPSec/SSL tunneling, autonomous systems.

AFA Engineering develops software with highly controlled methods (versioning, automated testing, etc), for the MajorNet® systems manufactured by AFA Systems. With the same rigorous approach vertical custom applications are produced, using the breathtaking technologies of the Web 2.0 mashup ecosystem.

AFA Industrial

At the end of the 1990’s, AFA Industrial extended its production of vertical systems for automation control to the manufacturing of the MajorNet® systems. Nowadays several hundreds of MajorNet systems have been widely and successfully deployed as the basis of many complex IP networks, supported by a commercial network of Certified Dealers.
